ABOUT US
A Gallery Ran by Artists for Artists
As a forthcoming online art gallery based in Memphis TN, K&K Gallery and promotes the work of dedicated talented artists. The gallery was started by Kendrick Moore and Kaylyn Webster, two young artists who plan to grow K&K into a brick and mortar establishment. Their business showcases new and emerging artists breaking into the artistic world. By providing a space in which to display their latest works, artists appreciate their role in sharing their creative aspirations with a wider audience. K&K Gallery is a gallery ran by artists, for artists of all backgrounds.
Here at K&K Gallery we aim to provide platforms that enable young artists to establish prominent careers in the art world. We have a goal and that is to aid the funding of all public educational art programs in the city of Memphis. Both Kaylyn and Kendrick are products of public education. They have experienced budget cuts within art programs first hand. It impedes creativity and it reinforces the mindset of regularity.
We aim to provide solidarity to the minds of many by showing that a career in art can be just as profitable as any other. We want to validate the lost importance of art.
"Creativity shouldn’t be hindered to fit into society‘s box of normalcy, we all started out drawing as children... why should we stop?"
-Kaylyn Webster
“I may not be able to change racial injustice, but I can provide the next generations the tools to do so”
-Kendrick Moore
